School and Youth Groups

Whether your visit to Springhead is a residential stay, a sleep-over or a one-day trip, Springhead’s friendly team will make every endeavour to ensure it’s a success, with everyone in your group leaving the centre feeling enriched by the experience.

‘Learning outside the classroom is about raising achievement through an organised, powerful approach to learning in which experience is of prime importance. This is not only about what we learn but importantly how and where we learn.’
Extract taken from ‘Learning Outside the Classroom Manifesto’ published by the Department for Education and Skills.

You will find that the centre is ideally placed to support a wide range of activities and cross-curriculum themes within the National Curriculum. It can offer many activities on site or within walking distance or an easy drive away. Plus, Springhead’s residential stays and sleep-overs are beneficial in the development of young people’s life skills, giving individuals a chance to bond with their contemporaries and peers and to work with them as a team.
